Postdoctoral fellows, Drs. Rebecca Martone and Russell Markel, were featured in Westerly News for their presentation at the Pacific Rim Whale Festival in partnership with Clayoquot Biosphere Trust. Russ and Rebecca were invited to present to the general public and communicate their research on how the reintroduction of sea otters affects kelp forest ecosystems and coastal communities as part of the BCCES project of the Chan lab.
